Sweet Romance Jewelry Manufacturing, a company founded and managed by women, is an entrepreneurial success story that began with a gem of an idea in the late 1980s and blossomed over two decades into a flourishing design, manufacturing and e-commerce enterprise.

Jewelry designer and historian Shelley Cooper is the CEO of a design, manufacturing, and distribution operation that supplies her timeless jewelry collections to wholesale and retail outlets worldwide.  The factory, with its deceptive, non-descript exterior in an industrial area of South Los Angeles, houses a design studio, factory, web boutique, administrative offices, and a shipping center.

Shelley’s jewelry creations are exquisitely manufactured to be reminiscent of estate pieces. The designs include expert casting and plating, retro glass, Austrian crystals and enamels, charms, pearls, rhinestones, and sometimes, to add even more authenticity and uniqueness, vintage jewelry components are incorporated.

In addition to being a Women’s Wear Daily Featured contributor and receiving the Chicago's Choice for Jewelry Design Award, Shelley makes personal appearances to talk about the history of women’s ornamentation and her own jewelry designs.  Proudly, her designs have been used on NBC-TV shows, on the London stage, and are part of the permanent collection in the Edith Head Wardrobe Department at Paramount Pictures.

The company has been commissioned to produce special collections for museum exhibitions like "Titanic" for the BC Royal Museum and for the touring exhibition "Tutankhamen: Golden Age of Pharaohs."
